Is a Candidate for the New York State Assembly. Mike has been nominated to run as the sole Democratic nominee in the district and has secured across the board support from many key leaders in the district.
Mike Miller has been a resident of Glendale for over 40 years, residing in the 38th Assembly District for most of his life. He is a proven leader dedicated to building strong families. Mike's record includes expanding emergency services, protecting public safety and improving the quality of education.
As a long time Community Board 5 member, Mike has advocated for affordable housing, expansion of services for seniors and additional after school programs. Mike has been recognized for his anti-graffiti efforts as well as his commitment to helping adults with mental disabilities in founding the Forest Park Aktion Club.

Mike dedicated his professional life as well to bettering people’s lives. He was the Branch Manager for the New York Office of Tiger Federal Credit Union responsible for all East Coast operations. There he assisted numerous people achieve the “American Dream” by securing loans for first home buyers, first cars and college educations. Also, Mike was their Community Liaison, bridging relationships with Corporate America and local organizations.
Mike was also the Capital Campaign Director for the Greater Ridgewood Youth Council. The campaign increased the Council’s operating budget to two million dollars.
Mike attended Molloy High School, Queens College and the University of Georgia CUNA Management School.
Mike was born to Italian mother and German father. Both, first generation immigrants. He grew up understanding the benefits of union wages, his father was a Teamster for 20 years. For the past 20 years Mike has lived at 69th place in Glendale with his Life Partner Peg Swanson, a member of DC37.
